Clinic Director
Dr. Trevor Weinstock joined Perform Physical Therapy and Wellness as a physical therapist in 2021, specializing in treating nerve pain, spinal and hip injuries. His favorite aspect of the work he performs is having the privilege of meeting new clients and learning about their lived experience through open conversations.
As a collegiate inline hockey athlete, Dr. Weinstock succumbed to multiple hip and wrist surgeries, which fueled his passion to help others recover and demonstrate the most effective way to heal their bodies and get them back to doing what they love. A catalyst that led to his career in physical therapy was his Type 1 diabetes diagnosis at age 2, which is why his No. 1 goal is showing compassion to each individual. Living with this condition offers him a unique perspective when connecting with others who have either a Type 1 or 2 diagnosis and has allowed him to use a more holistic approach when it comes to working with patients.
Dr. Trevor Weinstock graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University in 2018, then moved to San Diego where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Outside of the office, Dr. Weinstock spends the majority of his time enjoying America’s Finest City surfing, playing beach volleyball and exercising outdoors.

Certified Massage Therapist
Hannah Brown joined Perform Physical Therapy and Wellness in 2023 as a massage therapist and hopes to add to the circle of balance offered to clients, helping them understand that recovery is just as important as strengthening and treating.
Hannah grew up in San Diego’s North County playing softball, camping on the beach and surfing with her family. As a catcher for 13 years, she’s an athlete at her core and following her love for softball found her next interest—country dancing. For the past several years she’s been dancing at social halls or restaurants, even rising to dance at a competitive level locally and across various cities.
Dancing up to five days a week for work and fun, she asked a lot of her body and ultimately it began to take its toll. After talking with friends in the bodywork industry, she realized she wanted to try massage as a recovery method. Having no idea what she was getting into, Hannah emerged from her 1-hour appointment feeling completely revived—quite literally as if she’d hit a reset button.
Realizing this aligned with her desires, she quickly fell in love with studying the ancient modalities of healing and that massage transcends the physical aspect, tapping into mental, emotional and spiritual benefits as well. Massage is for everybody, meant to restore balance and establish body awareness. As a Type 1 diabetic, diagnosed at age 6, Hannah learned early on that taking care of her health was important and is honored to give others something so profound. She uses all of the tools available to her to give clients the best, personalized experience. Whether deeply relaxing, therapeutic or intense, Hannah acts as the liaison between whatever surfaces during each session.
One of her favorite things to hear from patients is, “I didn’t know I was so tight there.” Hannah received her certification from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health and is certified in the following areas: circulatory, advance circulatory, sports massage, trigger point, deep tissue, acupressure for injuries, therapeutic mobilizations, manual lymphatic drainage, cranial sacral therapy, shiatsu, prenatal and reiki.
When Hannah isn’t working, she’s spending time with her family camping on the San Elijo State Beach campgrounds, dancing, traveling or at the gym. She also has a deep love and appreciation for mediation and wellness and community involvement.

Certified Personal Trainer
Sophie Bartels comes to Perform Physical Therapy and Wellness as a certified strength and conditioning specialist offering 1:1 personal training and group sessions. She got her Bachelors in Kinesiology at CSUSM with a focus in movement optimization, she is also our patient coordinator. A native San Diegan, Sophie grew up in the Talmadge/Kensington area with active parents who encouraged her to get outdoors at a young age. As she got older, she played volleyball and swam competitively.
Sophie learned the importance of body mechanics early on in her athletic career when she injured her shoulder during a championship volleyball game. She was put back in the game and ended up suffering for the next three years. This incident, in part due to low quality coaching, was the catalyst in her desire to offer other athletes an optimal approach to pre-and rehab. Today, she ensures her clients learn proper body mechanics so they can live pain-free lives.
With Sophie you can expect accountability and a proper warmup. She uses fitness as a tool to get clients back to doing what they love and build habits for a healthy lifestyle. Sophie enjoys helping former athletes rediscover their athleticism through strength and conditioning and teaching everyone how to move optimally through sound body mechanics.
When Sophie isn’t helping her clients heal or get stronger, she’s hiking San Diego’s trails, off roading or drag racing cars and spending time with her family and friends.

Owner and Patient Coordinator
Hi, I am Dr. Claire Bowes! Thank you for visiting Perform Physical Therapy and Wellness, a comprehensive resource service for people looking to perform at an optimum level every day.
As a skilled physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist, I’ve worked with a variety of individuals with active lifestyles and athletes with a range of needs. Despite their differences, they have in common the desire to become a stronger, better version of themselves.
Is that you? If so, you’re in the right place! Did you know that the body has an instinctive need to heal itself? It just needs guidance on how to get there. That’s where I come in. Since 2018 I’ve specialized in orthopedic and sports physical therapy for overall wellness, prevention and rehab injuries as well as strengthening and maintaining optimal health.
My own experience as a college-level athlete with 5 knee injuries developed into an enthusiasm and passion for working with others to heal their bodies in a way that fulfills their preferred lifestyle. It also allows me to empathize with patients to meet them where they’re at—whether they’re playing competitively on club teams, in high school or college, are elite-level athletes or simply just trying to get or stay fit.
I have the patience and desire to answer questions with time intentionally built into sessions to better understand patient goals. I also focus on education to explain why we’re doing what we’re doing and how it contributes to the process of growth and healing.
Lastly, I understand that therapy goes beyond the physical body and extends to our mental, emotional and physiological functions. It’s not uncommon for patients to experience a response release during sessions and I encourage everyone to feel unrestricted in this area, it will influence your overall wellness.
